Nike NBA Basketball Commercial: Michael Jordan ‘Frozen Moment’

Michael Jordan ‘Frozen Moment’ shows the legendary #23 Jordan in his signature Chicago Bulls gear in full flight on the court. The commercial cuts to a series of athletes on treadmills watching the TV screens at the gym, as time slows while Jordan is lining up the perfect play against the LA Lakers. Incredible use of lighting and slow motion effects creates a transformational experience for the viewer. Time slows to a crawl as Jordan lines up a shot in the dying seconds of the game and clinches victory for the team. Jordan ended up retiring from the game in January 1999, but the man’s legacy spans generations of adoring fans!

Nike NBA Basketball Commercial: 2017/2018

This commercial tells the story of a young dreamer and basketball hopeful named Dante Grand. He envisions himself playing basketball on the playground as part of the inner-city team. As he fine-tunes his skills, he quickly moves up the ladder as a college basketball player. He gets paid to show off his dribbling skills in front of the other players on the court. Of course, his passion for the game is evident throughout as he dribbles relentlessly in his bedroom, building up his speed, skills, and stamina. As fate would have it, Dante joins Duke University and plays on the college basketball team as one of the Duke Blue Devils.

He is eager to make it into the NBA, and we catch glimpses of number 23, LeBron James scoring magnificently. Meanwhile, Dante wears number 10 for Duke, and he performs well for the team. Naturally, he's wearing Nike gear. The commercial unfolds in a story-like fashion, for its full two minutes duration. Grand joins the Cleveland Cavs at #10 and he nails it. It's an awesome spectacle to behold and Nike did a bang-up job on this ad. The commercial is really for anyone and everyone who's ever dreamed of achieving big things with their life!

Nike Basketball Commercial: Scotty Pippen ‘Time Warp’

A decade or so ago, Nike came out with a commercial known as the Time Warp featuring Scottie Pippen, the small forward for the Chicago Bulls, and briefly for the Portland Trail Blazers. Scottie Pippen played 1178 games in his career, averaging 16.1 points per game, with 6.4 total rebounds, and 5.2 assists. Legendary is pretty much a word that everyone uses to describe this 6X NBA Champ and 7X All-NBA Champ. Together with Jordan, Pippen transformed the Chicago Bulls into a world-class outfit.

The commercial is a tribute to the brilliance of Pippen and Nike Air Flight sneakers. As the byline suggests, next stop… the flight dimension! Who better to showcase the appeal of the flight shoes than Scottie Pippen? The commercial takes us across different eras, with the players of the present juxtaposed against the basketball players of yesteryear. It's an interesting mix of opposites and a powerful 30 seconds of basketball commercial fun!

Nike Basketball Commercial: LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, & others star in Nike Basketball: Bring Your Game

Some commercials like the one we are about to describe are more like short stories than 30-second commercials in between your favorite TV shows. This one is a showstopper. It includes the likes of Sean, Toni, Angel, and Peanuts, each of whom is eager to meet their favorite NBA players. There are some memorable scenes like the ones with Kobe Bryant who gives a lecture to his young and adoring fans, and Kevin Durant who displays some of his own prowess on the basketball court too. Even Serena Williams comes into play, courtesy of LeBron James.

The kids are all deciding how to pick the best basketball player in the world, so they fly out to meet each of their heroes, live with them for a while, to make these tough decisions. They get dunked on, but they love it, especially by KD (Kevin Durant). Paul George is next in line. He’s loud and he’s quiet. Next up is Kobe Bryant – the greatest ever? Kyrie Irving dribbles up a storm, and then it’s LeBron’s turn to strut his stuff. It just keeps getting better!
