10) Arizona Cardinals vs Green Bay Packers – 10 January 2010

On Sunday, 10 January 2010, at 4:30 PM, the Arizona Cardinals and the Green Bay Packers locked horns in the playoffs. They played at the University of Phoenix Stadium, with a crowd of 61,926 people.

The score: Arizona Cardinals 51 – 45 Green Bay Packers. Both teams were 11-6 coming into the game.

9) Los Angeles Rams vs Baltimore Colts – 22 October 1950

On Sunday, 22 October 1950, the Los Angeles Rams (4-2) took on the Baltimore Colts (0-5) in what was to be an epic match. This was week 6 of the NFL, and the score was Los Angeles Rams 70 – 27 Baltimore Colts.

At the time, the Baltimore Colts were certainly NFL betting underdogs, and the results were telling.

8) Chicago Cardinals vs New York Giants – 17 October 1948

Here's another epic NFL match. The New York Giants (1-3) prepared to do battle against the Chicago Cardinals (3-1) in week 5. The two teams squared off on 17 October 1948 at the Polo Grounds Stadium.

The crowd attendance was 35,584, and the result was New York Giants 35 – 63 Chicago Cardinals. Clearly, the Cardinals were flying circles around the Giants!

7) San Diego Chargers vs Pittsburgh Steelers – 8 December 1985

The fabulous 80s were a great time for football. During week 14 of the NFL, the San Diego Chargers (7-7) squared off against the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-8).

The teams played on 8 December 1985, at the Jack Murphy Stadium, at 9 PM. The result: San Diego Chargers 54 – 44 Pittsburgh Steelers. It was a brutal matchup!

6) Denver Broncos vs Dallas Cowboys – 6 October 2013

The Dallas Cowboys (2-3) squared off against the formidable Denver Broncos (5-0) in week five of the NFL, on 6 October 2013. It was an epic football matchup!

The teams played 6 October 2013 at the AT&T Stadium, with a crowd attendance of 92,758 fans. The Broncos narrowly defeated the Cowboys in this blistering football extravaganza. The result: Dallas Cowboys 48 – 51 Denver Broncos.

Rewind to 1 November 2015, during week 8 of the NFL. This matchup went the distance as two evenly-matched teams faced off against one another.

The New Orleans Saints (4-4) hosted the New York Giants (4-4) at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, with a crowd attendance of 73,019 adoring fans.

The San Francisco 49ers took on the Brooklyn Dodgers on 21 November 1948, during week 13 of the AAFC (All-America Football Conference).

It was a lopsided contest, as the Brooklyn Dodgers (2-10) were clear underdogs heading into this match up with the powerful San Francisco 49ers (11-1).

The teams kicked off on 21 November 1948, at Ebbets Field Stadium as a crowd of 9,336 players cheered on the teams. The result: Brooklyn Dodgers 40 – 63 San Francisco 49ers.

3) Los Angeles Rams vs Kansas City Chiefs – 19 November 2018

NFL week 11 was crunch time for two evenly matched teams on 19 November 2018. The Los Angeles Rams (10-1) prepared to do battle against the Kansas City Chiefs (9-2) at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, with a crowd of 77,002 adoring fans.

It was extremely tight, with the game going down to the wire. Ultimately, the home team prevailed: Los Angeles Rams 54 – 51 Kansas City Chiefs.

2) Cincinnati Bengals vs Cleveland Browns – 28 November 2004

Two Ohio-based NFL teams battled for dominance during week 12 of the 2004 NFL season.

The better team – the Cincinnati Bengals (5-6) were getting ready to bear their fangs against the Cleveland Browns (3-8) at Paul Brown Stadium on 28 November 2004. A sizeable crowd of 65,677 fans watched in eager anticipation.

The result: Cincinnati Bengals 58-48 Cleveland Browns. The Bengals were leading every quarter, for a well-deserved win! A whopping 106 points were scored in this match.

1) Washington Redskins vs New York Giants – 27 November 1966

Rewind to 1966, during week 12 of the NFL. Then Washington Redskins (6-6) – clear favorites in this NFL matchup prepared to take on the New York Giants (1-9-1) at the District of Columbia Stadium.

The match played out on the 27 November 1966. As expected, Washington completely dominated. The result Washington Redskins 72-41 York Giants. Would you believe that a total of 113 points were scored in this NFL match?!
