MLB spring training is one of the most highly anticipated events of the year for baseball fans. It’s a time where you get to see your favorite baseball superstars up close and personal in much smaller stadiums, as they cut loose on the baseball diamond.
Spring training divides teams up into the official Grapefruit League at venues across Florida, and the Cactus League at multiple venues in Arizona. We are going to highlight some of the best spring training baseball fields for these leagues and the fans who flock to see their baseball teams competing.

The Grapefruit League
Spring training is a big deal! Fans from all over the country descend upon two states – Florida and Arizona to see their favorite baseball stars hitting it out the park. There are scores of venues for the Grapefruit League throughout Florida, including the following:
* LECOM Park
* Spectrum Field
* First Data Field
* CoolToday Park
* Dunedin Stadium
* Ed Smith Stadium
* Charlotte Sports Park
* CenturyLink Sports Complex
* George M. Steinbrenner Field
* JetBlue Park at Fenway South
* Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium
* Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium
* FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches
With the Grapefruit League, there are 12 baseball teams along the coast, and 3 teams in the middle of the state of Florida. The Grapefruit League presents plenty of opportunities for fans to come out in full force and support their sports heroes. Here are the 15 teams competing in the Grapefruit League: Atlanta Braves (Sarasota County), Baltimore Orioles (Sarasota), Boston Red Sox (Lee County), Tigers (Lakeland), Houston Astros (West Palm Beach), Miami Marlins (Jupiter), Twins (Lee County), New York Mets (Port St. Lucie), New York Yankees (Tampa), Phillies (Clearwater), Bucs (Bradenton), Cardinals (Jupiter), Tampa Bay (Charlotte County), Blue Jays (Dunedin), and Washington Nationals (West Palm Beach).
Now it’s time for the big reveal! These are subjective opinions, but I believe that many fans will agree. My top 3 stadiums in Florida include the following:
* LECOM Park
* Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium
* FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches
The Cactus League
The Cactus League has several ballparks in and around the Phoenix, Arizona region. These include 15 teams – just like the Grapefruit League. The venues for the Cactus League include the following:
* Surprise Stadium
* Peoria Sports Complex
* Camelback Ranch-Glendale
* Goodyear Ballpark
* American Family Fields of Phoenix
* Tempe Diablo Stadium
* Sloan Park
* Hohokam Stadium
* Scottsdale Stadium
* Salt River Fields
The teams competing in the Cactus League share venues, much like they do in the Grapefruit League. Here are the 15 teams competing in the Cactus League: Arizona Diamondbacks (Scottsdale), Chicago Cubs (Mesa), Cincinnati Reds (Goodyear), Cleveland Indians (Goodyear), Colorado Rockies (Scottsdale), Chicago White Sox (Glendale), Kansas City Royals (Surprise), Angels (Tempe), LA Dodgers (Glendale), Brewers (Phoenix), A’s (Mesa), Padres (Pedria), San Francisco Giants (Scottsdale), Seattle Mariners (Pedria), and Texas Rangers (Surprise).
Now it is time for me to reveal my picks for the top 3 venues for the Cactus league. Again, these are subjective opinions, but I really enjoy these stadiums:
* Salt River Fields
* Sloan Park
* Peoria Stadium
