There is one basketball tournament that captivates America's attention like none other – NCAA March Madness. According to the official data from NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball, between 1970 and 2018, the attendance figures have steadily crept up over the years at many schools, but this pattern has not been consistent throughout. Given the large sample of data available to us, I have limited my date range to more recent years between 2010 and 2018, to include the Top 5 teams every year in that date range.

The NCAA March Madness tournament brings out the wildcat in all of us. When Selection Sunday commences, it's off to the First Four in Dayton, Ohio for the 2020 NCAA premier Men's Division 1 Basketball Tournament. March Madness is probably one of my favorite sporting events of the early part of the year. It is adrenaline-fueled entertainment from inception to the crowning of the NCAA Champions.

The San Diego State Aztecs are currently dominating in the Mountain West. They lead the pack with an impressive string of wins this season. Their division is populated with world-class teams like UNLV, Nevada, Utah State, Boise State, CO State, New Mexico, Fresno State, Air Force, San Jose State, and Wyoming.
